The Cooperation of Fruit and Vegetable Producers "Sun-Sad" was established in 1997 upon the initiative of 9 producers. The formation of the association was the effect of the changing tendencies in fruit trading at the domestic market and the analysis of the processes in the European Union countries. We were pioneers in creating such groups in the horticultural branch in Poland.

A year after the founding of the group, we transformed it into a limited liability company, whose shareholders were the members of the group. This allowed us to construct a storage and  distribution center with modern sorting and storage base with the capacity of around 25 000 tones (the capacity of the cold rooms is around 5300 tons) enabled us to improve our logistics fruits and vegetables distribution, to standardise the quality of fruit, to ensure uniterrupted delivery cycles of large amounts of goods and to increase the selection of products, mostly of small-package fruit and vegetables.
After 4 years in business 6 large fruit producers joined the company, which at present has 15 share-holders from the Grójec and Warka area, Poland's largest fruit-producing region, where the production capacity stands at around 150, 000 tons.

Our potential productivity amounts to approx. 9500 tons of fruit per year. We produce apples: (95%), pears (3%), sweet and sour cherries (1.5%) and plums (0.5%). Each of the Group's producers have their own  storage facilites, ULO cold roms, KA cold roms (around 6000 tons), usual cold rooms ( around 1600 tons ) and storage rooms (around 1000 tons). Our total storage capacity is around  86000 tons.
We cooperate with supermarket and hypermarket chains and with numerous wholesale and retail outlets.

Exporting fruit and vegetables to Eastern and Western European countries is the essential part of our business. Our objective is to suply the goods of high quality with packaing selected by the customer directly to the contractors, which significantly reduces the cost and thus makes our offer more attractive.

In order to meet our customers'expectations, in 2000 we have constructed the storage and distribution center with modern profesional sorting and packaging machines, operational cold stores, lading stations and logistc office with the processing capability of approx. 25000 tons per year.

We have a modern sorting line Greffa , which allows to sort  of fruit caccording to to the following criteria: color, high color, size, weight and length, and machines which package fruit into net bags, plastic bags and onto trays with the use of thermal method.
